About Me

Hello! I'm Adam (or AJ) Chan, a Developer Relations professional deeply immersed in the world of Generative AI and AI-Native technologies. Currently, as a Developer Relations practitioner at Weaviate, I have the privilege of exploring enterprise-scale vector search and sharing these cutting-edge tools with a vibrant global community of developers.

My journey in tech, rooted in a software engineering background from the University of Toronto, has taken me through exciting roles at companies like Google, where I focused on Conversational AI and Business Messaging, and Apple, contributing to Developer Technologies and infrastructure. These experiences have solidified my passion for not just building innovative software, but also for bridging the gap between technology and the brilliant minds who use it.

I'm an engineer at heart and a community builder by passion. Whether it's organizing events like the "Zero Gravity Agentic RAG Hack Night" through HackerSquad, speaking about Agentic RAG and Vector Search, or simply fostering spaces for collaboration, my goal is to empower developers and help showcase our collective talents. I thrive on making complex AI concepts accessible and enjoy collaborating with leading companies in the AI/ML space to drive practical, enterprise-ready solutions.

Beyond specific roles, my core mission is to connect, educate, and inspire. I believe in the power of community and the incredible potential that unfolds when developers come together to learn, share, and build the future.
